Special Allocation Service (SAS)
The service provides primary medical care to patients who have been removed from their mainstream GP practice list. Our goal is to ensure that patients who are removed from a practice can still access essential and additional medical services. Over time, the service works with these patients to help reintegrate them into mainstream general practice where possible.
Referral Criteria
Patients are referred to this service due to incidents involving varying degrees of physical or verbal abuse toward practice staff or other patients.
Documentation of the patient’s removal can be obtained through PCSE or directly from the SAS. All referrals to the SAS must include a crime reference number provided by the police.
SAS is offered at several locations across South East London, including:
-
Queen Mary’s Hospital
-
Orpington Health and Wellbeing Centre
-
Various sites in Lewisham
-
Dulwich Hospital
